Welcome To

Coral Springs

One of Broward County’s favorite residential communities for families.

Welcome to Coral Springs

Best-known for its family atmosphere, the thriving city of Coral Springs proves that not all of South Florida’s best towns are on the beach.

Nestled along the verdant expanse of Florida’s famed Everglades, the city of Coral Springs is one of Broward County’s favorite residential communities for families. Coral Springs is advanced in every way, offering the best of the best recreational amenities to its residents, as well as a top-notch public school district and selection of private educational facilities.

Master-planned and officially chartered in 1963, Coral Springs quickly rose to fame for its exceptional atmosphere and thoughtfully designed layout. The town is still fast-growing to this day, and its population of more than 130,000 residents loves the community’s engaging, upbeat spirit.

The homes of Coral Springs reflect both its family-oriented personality, and the residential real estate market is brimming with desirable single-family homes radiating upscale sophistication. From mid-sized homes to showcase estates and executive masterpieces, Coral Springs properties are imbued with an unmistakable sense of affluence. Styles are heavily influenced by Mediterranean architecture, which lends itself naturally to the town’s waterfront properties perched on scenic canals and ponds.

What to Love

  • Top schools both private and public
  • Just 30 miles to Fort Lauderdale and 15 miles to beaches
  • Beautiful green parks

Local Lifestyle

A mix of urban and suburban, Coral Springs embodies the best of both residential styles. Plenty of community amenities already exist within the town, and as current developments — including a central downtown plaza — its residents can feel assured that the town’s excellence is only going to improve with time. Quiet neighborhoods with tree-lined streets balance out the bustle of Coral Springs, making it a unique and ideal place to call home.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

Coral Springs is an up-and-coming powerhouse in the retail and dining scenes of Broward County and is already well-known for its impressive selection of shops and restaurants. Quickly becoming one of the most talked-about commercial locations in the area, The Walk at University is a stretch of diverse stores, professional services, and plenty of great eats along North University Drive. More than 120 retailers and restaurants are ready for exploration at the upscale Coral Square Mall, a Simon Property that’s anchored by Macy’s and JCPenny’s

The dining in Coral Springs is able to cater to a wide variety of palates and preferences and finds its inspiration from cultures around the globe. At El Mariachi, the family-friendly atmosphere pairs excellently with the menu of Cuban-meets-Mexican dishes. Mancora Ceviche Bar brings the sumptuous flavors of Peruvian cuisine to the diners at Coral Springs, who’ve fallen head-over-heels for dishes like the rocoto ceviche fish.

Effortlessly hip, the swanky Moon Thai & Japanese restaurant is a wellspring for delectable meals, served with a selection of cocktails and sake. Casa Tequila specializes in fresh margaritas and crafting the best authentic Mexican food around. The classic, old-world glamour of Runyon’s is the best setting in which to enjoy a menu of steakhouse favorites, sometimes accompanied by rousing musical piano performances.

Things to Do

Coral Springs is also graced with a large number of cultural institutions, park facilities, and attractions. Part of the reason for Coral Springs’ abundance of outdoor recreation areas is its position adjacent to Florida's vast Everglades and Francis S. Taylor’s Wildlife Management Area. Pressed up against the preserve, the Sawgrass Nature Center and Wildlife Hospital takes care of the area’s vulnerable wildlife and offers educational experiences for all ages.

In town, the 66-acre, Tall Cypress Natural Area is a dense, forested slice of paradise that features an elevated boardwalk path through the mix of swamps and woods. For those who prefer to adventure indoors, there’s the Florida Panthers IceDen for hockey and public skating.

The town is highly engaged in the arts, as evidenced by the fascinating displays and exhibits of the Coral Springs Museum of Art. The Coral Springs Center for the Arts is a massive performing arts venue that hosts a range of theater, Broadway musicals, comedy showcases, and concerts, including performances by big names like Fleetwood Mac and Dave Chapelle. Each year, the community gathers for an entire weekend at the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts, a spectacular conglomeration of art exhibits, live entertainment, and food vendors.

Schools

Coral Springs is home to a number of excellent schools. Though all of the schools in Coral Springs are notable and many residents move to the city for the schools specifically, a few top educational opportunities include:

  • Coral Springs Charter School, 6-12, a highly rated public charter school ranked as the #3 best charter middle school in the greater Miami area
  • American Heritage Schools: Broward Campus, PK & K-12, a highly rated private school ranked as the #3 best in the state
  • North Broward Preparatory School, PK & K-12, a highly rated private school ranked in the top 40 best of the state
